Die Junioren absolvierten ein Doppelspiel-Wochenende in Pfronten und gestalteten dies sehr erfolgreich.
Im ersten Spiel am Samstag gingen sie gleich konzentriert zu Werke und konnten durch Kirill Groz und Marco Pronatz mit 0:2 in Führung gehen. Das zweite Drittel hatte gerade begonnen, da sorgten schon Dominik Schopper mit dem 1:3 und Thomas Buchmann mit dem 1:4 für eine kleine Vorentscheidung, diese beiden Treffer fielen binnen einer Minute (22.). Im letzten Drittel kontrollierten die Weidener dann das Spiel und der sehr eifrige Marco Pronath erhöhte dann noch auf 2:5 (51. Min.) und 2:6 (53.) und krönte damit mit drei Toren sein gute Leistung.
Einziger Kritikpunkt waren die eindeutig zu vielen Strafzeiten, das muß unbedingt abgestellt werden.

Am zweiten Tag mußten die Junioren auf Marco Pronath verzichten, der bei der 1. Mannschaft seinen Einsatz hatte, dafür wurde das Team durch die nachgereisten Jugendspieler aufgefüllt (Zierock Maxi, Rogenz Christoph, Siller Philipp, Schwarz Felix). Und die machten allesamt an diesem Tag einen klasse Job! So konnte man auch das Spiel 2 am Sonntag klar dominieren und letztlich als verdienter Sieger das Eis verlassen.
Die Jungs spielten gleich ein excellentes erstes Drittel und stellten schon gleich wieder die Ampel auf Sieg. Philipp Siller (5. Min.), Kirill Groz (13.) und wiederum Philipp Siller sorgten für eine beruhigende 0:3 Führung. Das war ein Drittel, in dem mal wieder alles gepaßt hatte, Interimstrainer Peter Hampl, der dankenderweise an diesem Tage Victor Proskuryakov vertrat, hatte keinerlei Grund zu Tadel.
Das zweite Drittel war dann nur 14 Sekunden alt, da traf Philipp Siller schon wieder und erhöhte auf 0:4, sein drittes Tor an diesem Tage. Danach verflachte das Spiel etwas und der Gegner kam zum Anschlußtreffer. In der 38. Minute stellte aber der Verteidiger, Dominik Schulz, den alten Toreabstand wieder her, indem der zum 1:5 traf.
Im Schlußdrittel wurde die Partie dann etwas ruppiger, der Gegner war leicht gefrustet und die Weidener ließen sich zu sehr anstecken und nahmen leider auch immerhin 32 Strafminuten.
Wobei in der 46. Minute Kirill Groz in Unterzahl gar das 2:6 erzielen konnte. Das letzte Tor zum 3:7 wurde wiederum von Kirill erzielt, dieses Mal bei einer 5 gegen 3 Überzahl. Dies war das dritte Tor von ihm und die Krone auf eine sehr gute Leistung.
Damit war auch dieses zweite Spiel für die Weidener entschieden und das Team trat mit 4 Punkten die lange Rückreise in die Oberpfalz an.
Der Torhüter Sebastian Pauloweit zeigte in beiden Spielen eine gute Leistung.
