Devils treffen auf zwei Neulinge

Heute in Schongau und am Sonntag um 18.30 Uhr zu Hause gegen den EHC 80 Nürnberg

Weiden. (gb) 4:1 gegen Miesbach, 9:1 in Peißenberg – mit dem ersten Sechs-Punkte-Wochenende der Saison haben sich die Blue Devils mit 9 Zählern als Tabellendritter in der Spitzengruppe der Eishockey-Bayernliga festgesetzt. Jetzt bietet sich die große Chance, diese Position weiter auszubauen, denn die Weidener bekommen es mit zwei Aufsteigern zu tun.

Am Freitag (Beginn 19.30 Uhr) reisen die Blue Devils zum Tabellenzehnten EA Schongau (4 Punkte) und am Sonntag um 18.30 Uhr gastiert Schlusslicht EHC 80 Nürnberg (1) im Weidener Eisstadion. Trainer Josef Hefner weiß natürlich, dass alle erneut mit sechs Punkten rechnen, doch er warnt vor zu hohen Erwartungen: “In dieser frühen Saisonphase ist es schwer, von klaren Favoriten zu sprechen.” Auch die beiden Siege gegen Miesbach und Peißenberg nimmt er zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt ziemlich gelassen. “Die sechs Punkte gegen diese starken Gegner zählen erst im Januar so richtig, wenn es um den achten Platz geht.”
